Spring has arrived with its colorful palette in Vancouver. I cannot but be enthralled by life that has sprouted to nourish the senses.. I am excited to be developing the script to shoot the short film about “Karma” who attended my 2019 teacher training and has moved through so much pain admirably.
Just as life takes its course, the creative process cannot be forced and one has to simply lay the ground for the project to blossom.
I have shared a poem below about allowing our lives to be shaped by life’s highest ideals.
THE HEART OF A TRUE ARTIST
By Yogacharini Maitreyi, arkaya.net
Our lives are the artistry of millenia
Chiseled by consciousness, Shiva
To dance the elements into grace
Earth, water, fire, air and ether or space
Shakthi - The creative force
Sings her birthing tune
Humming the universe into being
Her rhythms manifesting
Unfolding and Infolding. Involution and convolutions
She celebrates, not just the revolutionaries
Mainly evolutionaries.
Who unearth and heal their dysfunction and pain
No artist is true if
One cannot pay homage
And hear one’s heart resound with respect
Senses spring in awe
Support Shakthi soar
Protect sensitivity, guard subtlety. Thrive
Prostrate in rapture. Listen to life’s call
Offer oneself to be shaped again and again, by the greatest artist of all
